There is so much to love and be proud of in Puerto Vallarta and all the sweet towns around Banderas Bay. But during Vallarta Pride week 5/19-5/26 if you’re a proud member of the LGBT community there’s even more to love. Once again, Puerto Vallarta celebrates Gay Pride Week, when over 20,000 national and international gay tourists will be here to celebrate. And once again P.V. and the towns around the Bay are second only to Tel Aviv, Israel as the #1 LGBT resort destination in the entire world
This year’s slogan, LOVE INCLUDED/AMOR INCLUDIO could not be more appropriate because love is in the air everywhere. A touching moment will be the candle lighting ceremony on the Pier to celebrate and remember members of the community who have passed on. And of course the famous Pride Parade, held on Thursday 5/23, is always an amazing highlight and event.
ACT, the LGBT Association of Commerce and Tourism is also sponsoring an economic round table featuring what is sure to be an inspiring and exciting forum on the economics of Tourism and the Gay community. It is no secret that Gay Tourism is a tremendous engine of commerce and economic growth. When the LGBT community is welcomed and strong, quality businesses, from boutiques to clubs and restaurants always follow and P.V. certainly has their share of great places to eat drink, dance and sun. Including Los Muertos Beach the #2 gay friendly beach in the world.
If you’ re part of the LGBT community and you’ve never been here, you are missing out on something and someplace very special. The Romantic Zone in downtown P.V. is a 100-block area with apartments, bars, restaurants, beaches and clubs that welcome and cater to you, as does the entire Bay.
Whoever you are, whomever you love, I guarantee you will love it here. That is of course, if you love great weather, great people, food, activities and events that will make you proud and happy.
