This restaurant featuring typical cuisine of the Yucatán, has been on my bucket list for a long time and it did not disappoint!!  Located on Venustiano Carranza close to Lázaro Cárdenas park, it’s easy walking distance to everything in the old town and centro.

The first course was complimentary salsa made to your liking using fire roasted tomatoes, chili, onion, and cilantro in a molcajeta.  It was deliciously warm, right from the fire.

Then I had salbute yucateco, shredded seasoned meat on a blue corn fried tortilla.  It was like a tostado, Yucatán style.

I followed that with a chicken, lime, tortilla soup.  Poured at the table and garnished with avocado, it was divine.

Dessert was traditional churros with 3 dipping sauces, chocolate, sweetened condensed milk, and cajeta caramel!!  Wooo yay!  Such a good meal.

The service was superb and there was even live soft music on a Monday night.
