Cities of the Bay - About Punta Mita
Punta Mita is a fishing village which also became a luxury resort on Mexico’s Pacific coast. Located over a small peninsula on Banderas Bay, it is home to upscale villas, golf courses and private beaches. There is a small public area called "El Anclote", filled with restaurants and has gentle surf. This is the closest point to the Offshore biodiverse Marieta Islands, where you may find wildlife such as humpback whales during the whale season and blue-footed boobies all year long. Up north from Punta Mita you can find the very laid-back surf village of Sayulita.
